Ms. McGowan assures the protection of financial assets and provides financial data to support resource control and decision making processes. In her service as Deputy Executive Director for Spokane Housing Authority since 2023, Lori is recognized amongst industry peers for her leadership, organizational planning, financial, negotiation, and affordable housing development skills. Lori has over 20 years of experience working within the affordable housing industry beginning with Housing Kitsap in 2001 as a staff accountant followed by supervisor level positions for five years. She moved to Spokane in 2006 and took a staff accountant position with the Spokane Housing Authority and quickly moved up in her position within the agency. She is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University (VWU) with a BA in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting. She currently serves as Treasurer for the Pacific Northwest Regional Chapter of NAHRO, Membership Services Committee member for National NAHRO, and is the Past President of Washington Housing Authority Accounting Professionals.
