Why Yardi Software?

Yardi is a leading software company in property management, affordable housing, and public housing authority programs. Their services provide a robust platform to manage our programs, properties, and financial needs.

How do I register for My Portal?

Information you will need to register for a My Portal Account:

  • Valid Email Address
  • Registration Number

If you are a current tenant or wish to apply at an SHA managed property, please visit the property’s new website through the “Properties” menu above.

To register your My Portal Account if you are an Housing Program applicant or resident with assistance or participating Landlord:

  1. Go to https://myportal.spokanehousing.org

Click on your associated type of account:

Current Wait List applicants select Applicant Login

Current Participants select Resident Login

Current Landlords and Owners select Landlord Login

  1. Click the “Click here to register” link.
  2. Click the “I have a registration code” button. If you don’t have your registration code, please contact us at customerservice@spokanehousing.org or call 509-328-2953.
  3. Enter the registration code and click go.
  4. Complete the registration form.

What is the online portal?

The online portal is available 24/7 through Yardi’s Rent Cafe product, specifically for:

  • CLIENTS- to submit household changes and annual review paperwork online, see when an inspection is scheduled, see their rent portion, and communicate with SHA
  • APPLICANTS- to apply for waiting lists and keep contact information up to date
  • TENANTS Living at SHA Managed Properties – to submit move in or certification paperwork online, submit work orders, pay rent, and communicate with their leasing office – please go to your specific property using the “Properties” menu above.
  • LANDLORDS– to view payments for their tenants and communicate with SHA
  • PARTNERING AGENCIES – to easily refer clients and communicate with SHA

We will provide specific links to the site once it is available. Letters with account setup information will be sent in early October.

What if I’m not able to do the online portal?

While we encourage everyone to use the portal, SHA will work with those who need a reasonable accomodation or assistance. Remember, the portal is available 24/7 from any device with internet access!

What does the new portal look like?

It uses the current SHA Logo in the top left corner with horizontal blue backgrounds, with a photo of our Nora office:

Links to the Application, Resident (participants), and Landlord logins are located above the office photo to the right.

Property sites have a similar look with property photos and logo or name.

Why Change?

SHA realized our clients, tenants, landlords, and partners would benefit from moving processes online with secure portals for their specific needs. Additionally, we realized a need to change because of program changes, HUD regulations, and the diversity of our programs.

Funding

Funding for the software conversion comes from unrestricted funding and was approved by the Board of Commissioners in 2022.
