September 1st through September 30th – Data Validation
SHA’s data is being configured in Yardi and will undergo validation to ensure the transfer occurred accurately. Staff will be working to ensure a smooth transition for our October 1st transactions. There may be delays to some processes during this transition time. Letters are being sent with this basic information by Spetember 29.
Starting October 2nd – Registration Letters
Registration letters will initially be mailed or provided when visiting our offices. This will provide a code and the web address to sign up for your online portal access.
Rollout schedules as of 9/28/23 are:
If you should have received a registration letter but have not, please contact Customer Service (applicants, clients, and landlords), or your leasing office (tenants of SHA properties) after October 15th.
Yardi is a leading software company in property management, affordable housing, and public housing authority programs. Their services provide a robust platform to manage our programs, properties, and financial needs.
The online portal is available 24/7 through Yardi’s Rent Cafe product, specifically for:
We will provide specific links to the site once it is available. Letters with account setup information will be sent in early October.
While we encourage everyone to use the portal, SHA will work with paper versions as needed. Remember, the portal is available 24/7 from any device with internet access!
It uses the current SHA Logo in the top left corner with horizontal blue backgrounds, with a photo of our Nora office:
Links to the Application, Resident (clients and tenants), and Landlord logins are located above the office photo to the right.
SHA realized our clients, tenants, landlords, and partners would benefit from moving processes online with secure portals for their specific needs. Additionally, we realized a need to change because of program changes, HUD regulations, and the diversity of our programs.
Funding for the software conversion comes from unrestricted funding and was approved by the Board of Commissioners in 2022.
