Waiting List Types and Status

• Tenant Based Vouchers (Housing Choice Voucher) – The Spokane County Voucher waiting list is closed. For information about the North Counties and Whitman County waiting lists, please contact their associated agencies.
• Project Based Vouchers–
  • Permanent Supportive Housing PBV Waiting List: Housing on this waiting list is reserved for individuals that are disabled and have been homeless for a minimum of 12 months, or on four occasions totaling 12 months in the last 3 years. This waiting list opened on 11/20/24 at 8am and will remain open until SHA has determined that the waiting period for housing assistance for most applicants has reached 12 months.
  • All other PBV waiting lists are CLOSED.
• Homeownership Vouchers –  This waiting list is CLOSED.

The information below is intended for applicants who have previously applied for, and who were placed on, a voucher waiting list prior to the closure of these waiting lists.

  If you are unsure you are on a waiting list:
  • create and log into your My Portal account at https://myportal.spokanehousing.org/
          See our videos for:
    • creating an account
    • completing the application
  • Use the registration guide to assist you.
  • email customerservice@spokanehousing.org
  • call 509-328-2953 and leave a message or talk with customer service.
• Update Your Application
  It is important that applicants on SHA waiting lists keep their contact information current. If you would like to submit a change of address, or other updates on the information provided on your original application, please submit the update using one of the following methods:

1. 1. Households are encouraged to report changes using My Portal at https://myportal.spokanehousing.org/.
   2. You may visit the online Waiting List Change of Circumstance Form. You may receive a follow-up request from SHA for supporting documentation. Please make sure to provide your email address and other contact information.
